This pattern is made in collaboration with Hemptique who sent me their hemp cord to test out and review. I’m very grateful to share the collection of patterns and my review with you. You can read my full review here, as well as the other patterns from the collection I designed. This set of patterns is also a celebration of pride month! As a queer artist, I’m excited to find materials to express myself, and the colorways I chose from Hemptique reflect my love and pride to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am also grateful to collaborate with a yarn brand to so enthusiastically sign on to me making these in honor of pride month! (get 10% off Hemptique yarn you can use my affiliate code “SCARLET10” )

Hemp for a choker makes a lot of sense to me after working more with the fiber. It will retain its shape while becoming softer and softer the more you wear and take care of it. I would wash this piece with more care due to the jewelry findings, but the fiber should still get softer just from lots of wear without getting stretched out. A stretched out choker that once fit perfectly is no fun, so opt for hemp and avoid this fate!
